Nothing left… All lost…

Solaris… our bond, no longer exists. Destroyed and wiped from memories. And now I'm even more alone, as Iblis was consumed already by it, by the darkness. My element… but… I don't feel peace at all; it's not the darkness that I know. It's so foreign… I don't see a thing, I can't recognise anything. It's a void from which I can't release. I don't have control over it!

Nothing! Nothing! Nothing!

It doesn't listen to me! My powers don't work. I'm here, but as well I'm nowhere…
It's a jail, a trap, punishment for my sins...

That voice… Iblis?

Yes, it's me, or rather what was left…

You what? I no longer exist. I'm only a voice, but maybe it is better this way.

I can't tell what has happened and how, but I'm no longer in the void. My surroundings have changed. Still, I can't see in this different darkness like in the previous place, but I... I feel?

How come I can feel?! I'm a demon!

I feel something, warmness... as well this mysterious sound. And it changes.
One time it is as calm as a lullaby, then like a waterfall dropping on the stones below, but I enjoy it... I can finally sleep with the thought that I'm safe... In peace... Whatever it is I like it.

That's of course not all...
With time, there appeared new senses. I finally managed to notice my body. It's weak... I can't do much with my hands. But thanks to them I now know that I'm in some sort of a liquid.
Next thing, I placed my hand on my face. Small nose, eyelids that I can't open and... Mouth? I have a mouth?! It's like my body stopped being under my control! I have placed my thumb into it and started sucking... What's wrong with me?! But on the other hand it feels so... natural?

After that there was disturbance. Now I noticed that something was pressing on the wall, at least that's what I felt. Noises that I've never heard before were present too.

- Oh! Just look on him! He's so sweet!
- You know that you don't behave like a doctor should be?
- Not my fault that you always have gorgeous babies.

The other voice was somehow familiar, but I couldn't guess. It reminded me of someone, but... I can't remember.

- So it's a boy?
- Yes. You should start thinking of a name for him. Besides, he's healthy and everything feels right, but you shouldn't be stressing so much.
- Hey, I can't help it. Mister grumpy does a horrible work in saving the world.

The two familiar voices were arguing a little, but I no longer paid attention to what was happening over there. I was sleepy. The last thing I heard were some strange moans made by those two and a thud as if something fell on the floor, guessing that it was the doctor...

I felt bigger, my body had grown and my little sanctuary was now tight. Comfortable, but tight. I wasn't worried, why should I? I wasn't in rush with my revenge. After all I waited in the void I can wait here as well. Don't know for what, but does it matter? It's nice here. Oh, I use words that in the past I would never expect myself to say...

Every day I heard more of the conversations outside. So many voices, but only two were nice for me, the one from who I also heard the beating noise and the other which placed something warm on the wall, not like the doctor that cold thing.

I stayed here quite a long time so far and there was nothing much to do. I was bored... I need some attraction. And I found it one day! My amusement! With my legs I started to kick that wall.

- The baby kicked!
- Really?
- Yes! Come here and place your hand, you're child wants your attention. Not to mention that it starts to hurt me...

Indeed I was in the center of attention after that. Whenever I kicked harder I got a growl and when somebody finally placed a hand I kicked lightly. It was funny, as they were shouting 'Hey! He kicked!'

However, those happy days had to end...
First the liquid, in which I was used to stay, vanished. Then my lovely lullaby was moving even faster than a waterfall! What was happening?! And the voice... the voice was shouting with distress... I also felt now gravity, my head was upside down!

But those things were nothing in compare with the tunnel, the tunnel with light! I feared it! I didn't want to go there! I want to stay in my lovely darkness, but I was forced anyway...
There on the other side somebody... a beast... grabbed me with their too big hands for my liking! I tried to use my powers, but I couldn't! With this fragile body of mine that couldn't weld my dark powers I was in danger! And I... And I...    
I... I cried! It was the first time that I cried! But I needed help! I wanted my voices to safe me!

(#cough# Crybaby #cough#)

- Woah! Okay! Okay, little one! I'll only cover you with a blanket and give you back to your mommy.

'Mommy?'

Ah yes... Those, who give birth to the mortal beings.
The beast gave me to my mother and I felt her warm gloveless palms embracing me closer to her chest. Now I heard again the bumping noise of her hearth. Ah, so it was a hearth.
So calm, so lovely... I no longer cried. Next a warm, gently thing was placed on my tummy, rubbing it. It tickled! It had to be the other voice, my father, as much as I understand how a family structure is build.

I wanted to know how they look...

But if you look you won't be able to fulfill your revenge.

It doesn't matter. I need to see them... Whatever the consequences are I'll deal with them. I don't fear!

I see you made up your mind... so I won't stop you...

I slowly opened my eyes, at first my surroundings were blurry, but they receive their shape after a while. I looked up and saw emerald eyes, creamy muzzle and blue fur. And for my horror my mother was a blue hedgehog and was male. I turned and looked at the finger on my tummy it was black together with the other fingers of my father's hand, which had a gold ring on his wrist. My father was a black hedgehog with white chest fur, crimson eyes and streaks...

The same hedgehogs on which I wanted to get my revenge were my parents!
The ones who destroyed my existence now gave me it back!

But I... I? What did I want to do?

Nothing sweetheart... As to start a new life you need to forget the previous one. So why don't you smile for your mommy and daddy?

Two male hedgehogs were waiting in the hospital room resting after the labor. One of them was blue, known as the world's hero Sonic the Hedgehog and he was the one who gave birth; the other was Shadow the Hedgehog agent of G.U.N and the Ultimate Lifeform as well. He was by his mate's site all that time, so he ended with a broken hand... He didn't say a word; after all he was the one who made his lover pregnant in the first place… And sooner or later it heals anyway.

Suddenly they heard a horrible cry of their newborn from the corridor.

- Shadow?! What are they doing to him?! – Sonic asked with worry.
- Shh, don't panic, it is all right.

The nurse entered through the door with their baby. The small hedgehog was crying uncomfortably, wanting his mother, till he was placed in Sonic's arms.

- In my entire career it was the first time when a baby cried so loud, everybody thought that I'm hurting him – was the nurse's last words before she closed the door, leaving the slightly embarrassed pair alone.

Their son was still a little frightened; seeing that Shadow took off his glove from his functional hand and placed his finger on the small tummy, rubbing it gently. The baby relaxed form the touch and even opened his eyes for the first time. The boy looked at his parents with confused expression.

- Hey there little fellow, it's your mommy and daddy.

The baby gave them a toothless smile and grabbed with his small palms to Shadow's finger.

- So… how are we going to name him?
- Well, I don't know, but somehow I had a feeling that we should name him as Mephiles.
- Strange, I thought the same thing.
- So it settled. Mephiles. You like your name?

Mephiles looked at his mother and once more smiled.

In that moment the door flung open and all of their friends entered the room to see and congratulate the pair of their newborn. They played with Mephiles, took photos, oh even made him cry, especially when the big green crocodile showed his face in front of the small baby nose with brandy within his hands; but soon Mephiles was smiling again when the nurse throw out the shameless guest.

Meanwhile the parents noticed that somebody didn't show up so far.

- Hey? Where's Silver?
- He's showing the city to his new boyfriend.
- Is he somebody that we know?
- Nope. He's from the future like Silver. They have time traveled together to our time.

The mentioned hedgehog and his partner stepped inside taking the attention of the gathered people over the bed. Not wasting time Silver joined them almost tripping over, leaving his boyfriend behind. You know he was curious of the baby… he was supposedly to be the godfather this time as Tails and Knuckles were already… but when he sat by the parents' site so he could see the small hedgehog... what a surprise he received… or rather a heart attack…

The other friends were actually in the same kind of shock except for Sonic and Shadow, as the parents had a blocked view on the newcomer. The hedgehog pair was quite surprised that everybody in the room went so silent in an instant. And Silver looked like he kind of saw a ghost.

- Silver, is something wrong?

But the answer wasn't granted in words… Instead their friends spread on two sides and now they could see a hedgehog looking almost like Shadow if not the green eyes and pale blue stripes… the same hedgehog that Sonic was holding in his hands.

- Hello. Mother and father…
