Sleeping Beauty - sonadow ch3

I had to stay near the sleeping, sick blue hedgehog for the next two days. And it was hard for me... His forced run took all his remaining strength… But it's truly my fault… I should have chain him to the bed post or hold his hand, so he wouldn't caught me off guard… His nice soft hand… and he's sleeping now so gently… and looks so fragile… That I could… Gah! Stop it! He is your rival! Dammit! Rival that doesn't know anything about this world and its rules!

Then Shadow's river of thoughts was interrupted (thankfully) and he heard a yaw. The blue speedster was casually sitting there and stretching his body after the nice nap.  Not paying much attention to his bloody eyed counterpart.
The striped hedgehog could see Sonic's belly and lower parts fully exposed moving in a seductive way for him; because the covers fell off. He felt himself falling into a trance… Chaos… Is Sonic doing that on purpose? Shadow! Stay calm… before you do something that you'll regret… Before you frighten him…

Sonic eventually stopped his small exercises and saw his black lookalike staring in one point. Shadow wasn't even blinking, while sitting on the chair. Is he having again one of those memory things with Maria? If so, then Sonic not being the patient hedgehog at all, while feeling hungry, will have to make Shadow notice him.

- Hey Shads! I'm hungry! – he waved his hand in front of Shadow's face, with the idea of grabbing/snapping the nose.
Maybe Shadow won't kill him so soon after wasting his time on saving the blue one.
- You really want to get into my skin, Faker?! – Shadow snapped out from his state and hissed. – Your food is one the cupboard on your left!

One second Shadow was seeing Sonic's front, the next he had a nice view on the happy waging tail. And that was just too much for him…

Wanting to reach the other side of the bed, where his meal was, Sonic turned over on his belly, completely forgetting about him being naked in front of Shadow. Meanwhile the other hedgehog in the room, stood up and as fast as he could he left, slamming the door behind him.

- Hey Shads! I thought that you know me better! Why no chili dogs? Oi, Shadow? Shadow…?
But he was alone in the room.


The said hedgehog was taking deep breaths on the other side of the door... It was for him like 200 years ago. It was as hard to face his fears as back then. And now he just couldn't leave... Oh, why he just didn't listen to Rouge and tell his rival what he feels?! Maybe now he wouldn't have to hide his aroused...

- Hey Shadow!
- Crap...

He saw two approaching figures. Not wanting to be seen like this, he turned his back to them. The two, that were a silver hedgehog and a fox, could only guess why their friend had to 'breathe the open air'.

- So how is it going with Sonic? – Silver asked.
- He's awake and eating his breakfast...
- Oh, if so, then why are you here, when you could be there with the lovely cobalt beauty? – the fox added, smiling innocently.
The two knew very good what the ebony one was hiding from them, but who could resist a situation like this to make fun of Shadow for once.

- Anyway... Shadow you're needed somewhere else. The Elders want to talk with you.
- What do they want?
- They didn't say, but it's easy to guess what they after are...
- They noticed... particularly after the fights on the street. – Silver added.
- We'll take care of Sonic instead of you. When you'll be ready go on the meeting.

With that they entered the bedroom, chuckling madly, leaving Shadow alone. As for the Ultimate Life Form, it was the most humiliating five minutes in his life... He sighted. Better go and face those morons in charge, maybe it'll cleans his thoughts of Sonic for a while...


Sonic has eaten his food some time earlier and now was between staying on the bed a little longer and wait for Shadow like a proper guest should do or just be himself and go sightseeing the so called 'future'. And that's when somebody else decided for him what to do.
The door went wide and two beings entered. It was Silver and... and Tails! A blue blur went through the room and then the fox was being carefully hugged as if was made of glass.
The fox blinked twice not expecting something like that, and more... the gently touch that a hedgehog known of being a fighter all his life could be capable of, and the drops of tears... that were running on the fox's back fur.

- Tails... I... I thought that you're dead! – he sobbed quietly.
- It's okay... Everything will be alright...

And that's what Sonic needed to go on standby mode. He let go and backed away from his 'brother'. The person in front of him had female sounding voice... that's what caught his attention in the first place, the next thing... She was female! Female curves, feminine facial features! And breasts! Hidden under the similar fur like his brother's. Differences with the eyes... One eye was blue, when the other had a mix of blue and brown. And the last thing... She had three tails!

- Who... Who are you?! Why do you look like Tails! – he shouted at her angrily.

The girl could only lower her head. She felt confused and disappointed, and also was ashamed of herself. Did she hurt him? If so... She didn't mean it...
Thankfully Silver took control over the situation. He got Sonic's attention and moved the stressed, angry hedgehog back on the bed without fight and indicated the female to leave the room for now.
After half an hour Sonic calmed down. But still, he couldn't get what was happening! He was perfectly sure that she was Tails! Even his instincts were telling him that!

- Silver...
- Yes? – the silver hedgehog asked, distracted from the previously silent 'atmosphere'
- Who is she? I was feeling that I was hugging my little brother, but...
- I should start from the beginning of what happened with our world, but for now I'll tell you about Tails...
- I'm waiting...
- So her name is Tania Prowder, but she named herself as that... she's actually... a clone of Tails...


CLONE?!

Tania Prowder was a clone of Tails and she wasn't the first one... Her three tails were marking her as the third clone made from the original fox. But from the previous copies she was the less perfect. Why so? That's because they made her a girl and her genetic structure was also unclean. The reason why one of her eyes had two colors instead of one.
And why would anybody make a clone of him?
Simple, because of his intelligent... The first prototype (so you could count that there were four clones as far) which was actually made by Tails himself, had his all features... and somebody else...
And why would he do such a thing like this in the first place?
That's the reason why we are going back to the day when Sonic vanished from the world...

Without the blue hedgehog, Eggman managed in no time to collect all the chaos emeralds, and nobody was even trying to stop him. Not after telling Sonic's friends that their blue hero was somewhere dying in one of his secret labs. Everybody where looking for Sonic... Even Shadow… This was a shock for most of them.

While they were distracted, the mad scientist created a weapon that could in his sick mind help him conquer the world, but something went wrong. That one day everything changed... G.U.N made an abuse on Eggman's fortress and in all the gunshots made by both: the humans and the robots, the machine power sourced with the emeralds blow up.
Every soldier, robot and even Eggman burned in the accident, while the chaos emeralds shattered into dust and spread in the atmosphere.
And with it the planet just went mad... Chaos energy was dangerously unstable. And every living being had to hide underground, if they wanted to stay alive, but even so, it still affected them.

The babies were dying before they got born. And if one managed to stay alive, it later had strange powers and abilities. Because most of them were rather male than females. Women's status in the world increased, but that was actually a good thing and males didn't have anything against it... No wonder the new generation was more interested in the same gender and specific stuff than ruling, so there were only added on them some significant rules that they had to submit to them…

Sonic's friends found themselves in a world, in which they had to find their new role. Tails became a savior. He made an underground city, which used a special system that was stabilizing the chaos power into something more useful. And who ever had got the chance to find the city, were welcomed to live there.
Tails being together with Cream wanted to have a child with her, but they couldn't get her pregnant. So he made a clone from his and Cream's DNA. And because he was well known by that time, some people got their hands on his DNA and the invention able to make clones. They weren't making them, because they were greedy. They were afraid, that with his death nobody would be able to repair his inventions and technology. So every new Tails had the duty of keeping the city alive.

Knuckles and Rouge got married and had their own children without any problems with birth and so on. It was probably, because of their close contact with the Master Emerald, that they both were guarding it, till they died, and their place took the eldest child in the family.

As for Shadow, he was the only being in the world that could go on the surface of the earth and deal with what was happening there. He was still looking for Sonic, to the day that he lost any faith in finding the blue blur anymore...
